This week we started our new engineering unit.  Thinking Inside the Box: Designing Plant Packages.  Today we brainstormed what a package engineering does.  They had some amazing ideas.  Then we watched two videos about package engineering.  video 1  video 2  Then we read a story A Gift From Sebastian in the story a little boy helps his sister send a plant in a package they create to their grandmother.  They go through the entire engineering design process before they have success.  Then we talked about where in the story did each step of the design process present itself.  Then they created a presentation about the steps in the story using Doceri or Tellagami.
